My Story
Ethan Myerson is a Tucson, AZ-based visual artist specializing in oil painting, with a portfolio that spans photography, woodwork, glass, pen and ink, and digital art. Ethan’s work invites viewers to engage with the character and emotive power of place and character.

After graduating with a B.A. in Graphic Arts from the University of South Carolina, Ethan's creative journey has led him through commercial art, graphic design, illustration, and commercial and stock photography, as well as portraiture. His formative years in New York’s Hudson Valley introduced him to influential illustrators and graphic artists, nurturing a passion for visual storytelling that is evident in his current work. This background lends a unique narrative quality to his art, whether in the dynamic compositions of oil on canvas or his experimental approach across other media.
In addition to his architectural and landscape work, Ethan has a strong interest in capturing the vibrancy of 1970s and 1980s pop culture. His portraits of iconic characters, toys, games, musicians, and film & TV stars evoke a nostalgic connection to the era, celebrating its creative spirit and cultural impact.
With a career that blends traditional techniques and contemporary insights, Ethan's art reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and concept, creating works that are both visually arresting and resonant with meaning.
