Jeff Hengst is an artist living in Seattle. Oil paintings and sculpture dominate his body of work. His art bridges abstract to realism, with daring new ventures in capturing volumetric space. Hengst is a prolific artist with abilities ranging from Renaissance to Picasso.

Hengst was born in Pennsylvania in 1961. He graduated from Penn State in 1983 with a Fine Art Degree in Painting. After university he lived in China for three years learning new ways of seeing the world and making art. Hengst then spent time as an artist's assistant in New York until he came to Seattle and completed a Master's degree in 1991 in Arts Administration at Seattle University.

Hengst has made his living selling art. There are over two thousand Hengst creations in the world including notable paintings at the top of the Space Needle and in St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle.
